CuelureUsage
Insect attractants are specific insecticides that induce insects to produce behavioral responses. This is a class of trace volatile chemicals. Insects have the habit of finding heterosexuals, food sources, and spawning sites based on such substances. They can be used to trap pests and predict and forecast.
Insect attractants are highly volatile and attract long-distance insects with high activity. The eugenol methyl ether can induce male fruit fly, 1.6 km away, with a perceptible dose of 1×10-8 g. It is specialized, and the larvae induce the male cockroach to have high activity, but can not induce the fruit fly. Sugar fermentation broth and protein hydrolysate have a wide spectrum of attractants, which can attract both sex insects. The attractant has no insecticidal action and can be used in combination with insecticides to control insects and reduce the amount of pesticides. The microcapsule containing 10% of fenthion and 3% of chlorpyrifos was diluted 8 times with water and 799.5 ml/ha to control the fruit fly.
