1. RNA Extraction in Biological Experiments.

2. Protein Histidine and Tyrosine Modification Reagents. It is also a chemical modifier of RNA enzymes. It reacts with the imidazole ring of histidine, the active group of RNA enzymes, and inhibits the activity of RNA enzymes.

3. Used as a modifier for His and Tyr residues in proteins; as a durable probe for structural division in dsDNA, it reacts partially or totally with non-stacking bases; as an antimicrobial additive, ribonuclease inhibitor, histidine residue modifier, and as a reagent for the conversion of imines into carbamates.
