DiisopropanolamineUsage
1. Diisopropanolamine is used as an absorber of acidic gas, for example, it is used to absorb CO2 in natural gas and petroleum refining gas, H2S, remove CO2 in synthetic gas in ammonia industry, and concentrate CO2 in dry ice production. Also used for metal annealing, inert gas manufacturing, electrophoretic coating neutralizer. It is used as an emulsifier in fiber additives, tanning agents, insecticides, cutting oils, paints and waxes. Diisopropanolamine reacts with fatty acids to form fatty acid amides and lipids, which are used as active ingredients in shampoo.
2. It is an important organic intermediate, because it has hydroxyl and amine group, widely used in medicine, pesticides, detergents, cosmetics and other fine chemicals synthesis, its most extensive use is as a desulfurization and decarbonization agent, widely used in the fertilizer industry, petrochemical industry and natural gas industry.
