Sodium formate Usage
Mainly used to produce formic acid, oxalic acid and insurance powder, etc.
Used as reagents, disinfectants and mordants for the determination of phosphorus and arsenic. Preservatives. Has diuretic effect. EEC countries are allowed to use it, but the UK is not allowed to use it.
It is an intermediate for the production of formic acid and oxalic acid, and is also used in the production of dimethylformamide, etc. Also used in medicine, printing and dyeing industries. It is also a precipitant for heavy metals.
It is used as a reducing agent; used to precipitate precious metals; it can form trivalent metal complex ions in the solution; it has a buffering effect and can be used to correct the pH value of strong mineral acids. Precipitate precious metals. Trivalent metal complex ions can be formed in solution. It has a buffering effect and can correct the pH value of strong mineral acid.
Used in alkyd resin coatings, plasticizers, high explosives, acid-resistant materials, aviation lubricants, and adhesive additives.
